Explore Careers and Skills
Start with the Career Explorer — 900+ occupations with real salary data, growth projections, and required skills from O*NET and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Browse by industry, search by job title, or filter by growth rate and median wage. Each career page shows exactly which skills you need, how important they are, and what education is typical.
Not sure what you want to do? That is fine. The explorer is designed for browsing. Sort careers by projected growth to find fields that are expanding. Filter by education level to find roles that match where you are now. Every career page links to the specific skills it requires, so you can see what connects different occupations.
Take Courses with AI Tutoring
Enroll in courses aligned to the skills you need. Every course runs in a SCORM-compatible player, so the content is structured, interactive, and trackable. While you learn, an AI tutor powered by Claude is available to answer questions, explain concepts, and connect the material to your career goals.
The AI is not a separate tool — it lives inside the course. It reads the lesson you are on, knows your progress, and remembers your recent questions. Ask it to simplify a concept, give a real-world example, or explain how a skill applies to a specific job. Some courses include AI scenario roleplay, where you practice skills in realistic simulations and get evaluated on your performance.
Earn Verified Badges
Complete a course and earn a digital badge built on the Open Badges 3.0 standard. Each badge is a verifiable credential — it contains metadata about who issued it, what criteria you met, and which skills it represents. Anyone can click the verification link and confirm it is authentic.
Badges are not participation trophies. They are issued when you meet specific criteria defined by the course: completing all lessons, passing assessments, or demonstrating competency in a scenario. Every badge can be shared on LinkedIn, embedded in a portfolio, or exported as a baked PNG with the credential data embedded in the image file itself.
Build Your Skills Passport
Your skills passport is a personal dashboard that shows every skill you have verified, organized by category — technical skills, knowledge areas, abilities, and technology tools. It grows every time you earn a badge. Unlike a resume that you update once a year, your passport updates in real time.
The passport also includes an XP and leveling system. As you earn skills, you gain experience points and level up from Novice to Legend. Each career you track gets its own skill tree showing which skills you have earned, which are available to learn, and which are locked until you complete prerequisites. It is gamified, but the underlying data is real — sourced from O*NET occupational standards.
Track Your Career Progress
Track one or more careers and monitor your progress toward the skills each one requires. The skill tree for each career shows exactly where you stand: skills earned, skills available to learn next, and skills still locked. You can see your overall match percentage and identify the gaps that remain.
As the job market evolves, new skills become important and existing ones shift in relevance. Powerlevel pulls from O*NET and BLS data, so your career pages reflect current labor market conditions. Your passport and skill trees give you a clear, data-driven picture of your professional development — not vague advice, but specific skills with specific paths to earning them.
What Makes This Different
There are plenty of online course platforms. Most of them give you a video, a quiz, and a certificate PDF. Powerlevel is built differently because it connects three things that are usually separate: career data, learning, and credentialing.
Data-driven direction
Career and skill data comes from O*NET and the Bureau of Labor Statistics — the same sources used by career counselors and workforce boards. When Powerlevel says a skill is "in demand" or a career is growing, that claim is backed by federal labor data, not marketing copy.
AI that knows your context
The AI tutor is not a generic chatbot bolted onto the platform. It reads your current lesson, knows your progress, and connects answers to your career goals. It is the difference between searching the internet and asking a tutor who read the textbook with you.
Credentials that verify
Every badge you earn follows the Open Badges 3.0 standard. That means it is not a PDF sitting in your downloads folder — it is a live credential with a verification URL, issuer metadata, and skill-level detail that works across platforms.
Your passport, not ours
The skills passport is yours. Badges can be exported, shared, and used anywhere. There is no vendor lock-in. If you leave Powerlevel tomorrow, your credentials still verify, your baked badge PNGs still work, and your skill data is portable.
Who Powerlevel Is For
Powerlevel is built for individuals — people investing in their own careers, not companies buying training seats. If any of these sound like you, this is your platform:
- 1Career changers. You want to switch fields and need to know exactly which skills to build. The career explorer and transition guides show you the path.
- 2Upskilling professionals. You are good at your job and want to get better. Skill trees show you what to learn next based on your career's actual requirements.
- 3Recent graduates. You have a degree but are not sure where to apply it. Browse careers by growth rate and salary, then start building the specific skills employers are looking for.
- 4Credential builders. You want proof of what you know — not just a resume bullet point, but a verifiable credential that recruiters can check with one click.
