How It Is Different from Generic AI
You can ask ChatGPT anything. That is actually the problem. Generic AI tools have no idea what you are studying, what you already know, or what you are trying to become. Powerlevel solves this by giving the AI three things generic chatbots lack:
Lesson context
When you ask a question, the AI receives the content of the lesson you are currently viewing. It does not guess what you might be studying — it knows. This means the answer you get is directly relevant to the material in front of you, not a generic overview pulled from training data.
Progress awareness
The AI knows which lessons you have completed, which ones you skipped, and how far along you are. If you ask about a concept covered in an earlier lesson, it can reference what you already learned. If you are stuck on a new topic, it can connect it to something you have already mastered.
Conversation memory
Your last 10 messages are included in every AI interaction, so the tutor remembers what you just discussed. Older conversations are summarized to stay within context limits without losing the thread. You do not have to repeat yourself.
Scenario Roleplay: Practice Before You Perform
Reading about negotiation is one thing. Practicing it is another. Powerlevel courses can include AI scenario blocks where the AI takes on a character and you interact with them in a realistic situation.
How scenarios work
- The course author defines a situation — a difficult client meeting, a project kickoff, a salary negotiation — with a character description and context.
- You enter the scenario and interact with the AI character through conversation. The AI stays in character, responds naturally, and adapts to your approach.
- When you end the scenario, the AI evaluates your performance against a rubric: communication clarity, problem-solving approach, professionalism, and outcome effectiveness.
Scenarios adjust in difficulty based on the course level. An introductory course gives you a cooperative client; an advanced course gives you someone who pushes back.

Powerlevel uses Claude, the AI model built by Anthropic. We chose Claude for three reasons: it follows instructions precisely (critical for staying on-topic in educational contexts), it handles nuance well (important for career advice), and Anthropic leads the industry in AI safety research.

Fast, focused responses for quick questions. 5 messages per day. Great for clarifying concepts, getting definitions, and short Q&A during a lesson.
Professional Plan: Claude Sonnet
Deeper reasoning and more nuanced answers. 100 messages per day. Ideal for scenario roleplay, complex explanations, and career strategy discussions.
Privacy and Safety
AI in education raises legitimate questions about data privacy and content safety. Here is exactly how we handle both.
Your data stays yours
Conversations are stored in your account and isolated by tenant. They are never shared, sold, or used for model training. When we send context to the Anthropic API, we include only the current lesson content and recent messages — no personal details, no browsing history, no account metadata.
Content guardrails
The AI is instructed to stay on-topic and educational. System prompts constrain responses to the course material and career context. The AI will not give medical, legal, or financial advice, and it will not generate harmful content. Rate limiting prevents abuse.
Honest about limitations
The AI is trained to say "I don't know" when it does not have enough context. It will not fabricate answers or present opinions as facts. If a question falls outside the course material, it will tell you and suggest where to find better information.
